This one didn’t take too long once we stopped looking in the trees on the other side of the bridge. SupremeMe found it first. When I went back to look for it he followed me out on the bridge. I found the wire first, and thought to myself “what in the world is THAT” and then I found the cache. The funny thing was, once I found it, I could totally see it from my car. It is hard to see in the photo, but it is definitely there.

This was another evil little cache. SupremeMe and I went back multiple times to find this one. He climbed the trees looking for it. Ultimately we needed a clue. The clue was, “its in the ground”. (Sigh) So we crawled around on the ground and we still couldn’t find it. It took a bit of creative thinking on our part, but eventually (and with much bickering) we found it. It was VERY well hidden when we found it, and we put it back exactly where we found it. I went back a couple of weeks later and it was pretty easy to find. Someone has moved it, so I covered it with a little pine cone and contacted the owner of the cache for upkeep.
I suspect this one is much harder to find when it is under the fall leaves. When the grass is brown it will be easy to find but again, It has got to be a sucky cache to look for while buried under a foot of snow.

I covered the cache with a pine cone

This was another cool tree cache. Luckily it is very close to me, because I think we had to go back three or four times to find it. Ultimately we needed a hint to find this creative cache. The hint was, “its about six feet up the tree”. After we saw it, it was plain as day, but boy did it drives us nuts trying to find it. You have to unscrew it to get it off the tree. This cool cache was tough to find! Great Cammo!

We got a good giggle out of this cool cache. SupremeMe was the first in our group to see it. I laughed and commented that it looks like a boob.
It appears as though they have painted where the branch was sawed off so that it matches the tree. The container is painted the same color. I love it when caches are creative and are right out in plain sight!

I have been hearing about pine cone caches for years. I’ve never actually seen one though. Neither had SupremeMe, so he was pretty stoked to find this one. He was going for First to Find, but ended up getting there second instead. This one is cool fora couple of reasons. I’ve thought about taking a container and covering it with pine cone scales. I never would have thought to take a real pine cone and just drilling in to it. Secondly, there are tons of these little tubes hanging in pine trees in church parking lots here in Utah. Tons. So it is refreshing to see someone putting in a bit of effort when it comes to cammo.
The log actually references sprinklers so that was the first place that was looked. Eventually SupremeMe headed up the tree. He climbed rup right past it. He told me that the only reason he noticed it was because when he looked down, he saw a tiny bit of metal on the pine cone. He got to climb up and retrieve it for me as there was no way I could have managed to get myself up that high up the tree.
